Trinity Regional Medical Center is grateful for the proceeds that are raised by Swing for a Cure. The funds have allowed the center to go above and beyond to provide patients and community members opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have. Listed below are just a few of the things the proceeds from Swing for a Cure go toward.

• Television commercials that include information about the services of Trinity Diabetes Center and educational information about the risk factors for type 2 diabetes.
• Advertising for people in the community about the pre-diabetes education class, the annual diabetes fair and the diabetes support group.
• Sponsorship for children with type 1 diabetes to attend Camp Hertko Hollow. Camp allows children a unique opportunity to enjoy time with peers who share some of the same day-to-day challenges.
• New and up-to-date diabetes resources, handouts and educational tools to be used for classroom and individual instruction. 
• Educational training for diabetes center staff in order to keep current with the latest trends in diabetes.  It also helps to pay for staff members who are pursuing their Certified Diabetes Educator certificate.
